The Pro-4 Vignette system, for Photography, was devised by an eminent Photographer who saw the failings of conventional threaded systems,  he started from the ground upwards and produced an entirely new filter holder and filters.  The system has received minor modifications over the years and is one of the finest systems for producing prints for Weddings.  I  have added my own personal slant on the system and re termed it Pro4 Plus. Why the Plus,  it is the manner in which the system is implemented is different to the accepted norm,  and that is all I am saying apart from my Clients who can expect to receive the best possible Images obtainable with no extra work or editing, i.e.  Prints that are Album ready straight off the camera.  Pro4 Plus is by far the most superior special effects system for Wedding Photography that has hit the market for a very long time, however it is not as simple as investing in a Pro-4 hood and a set of filters.  With Pro-4  What you see is what you get,  and it is exactly that, this is one of the reasons I can offer my Clients the satisfaction in knowing that they have engaged a reputable Photographer who can get the job done in a Respectful and Professional manner.

Vignette filters,   there are two distinct categories in this field,

1.  Filters that produce faded or darkened edges by the use of a neutral density material on the filter, producing a distinct contrast in exposure, resulting in a genuine light faded, or darkened edge effect depending on the nature of the filter itself ( High or Low key ).  Within this group are technical sets that employ two or more effects on the same filter.

2. Filters that utilise a coloured medium on the face of the filter itself to reproduce an effect on the Image.   i.e. a green mask would produce a gradual green effect radiating from the centre to the edge deepening as it progresses outwards.  Various colours are available,  Green, Blue, White, Black, Grey etc.  Also within this and the previous group are filters that will blur the edges of an Image to one degree or another.

The Pro 4 system is unique, and it enables your Photographer to change filters or clear the lens in a split second,  with 4 filters ready and waiting to use, that can give a combination of six differing image effects from the same set of four filters.

The end product will result in you having a superb set of Images from the start,  their is no need to use Photoshop for editing or manipulation,  the results can never be the same, and the time factor in manipulating fifty or so images is expensive,  Pro4 wins hands down all the way with real Photographic reproduction that can go straight into your Album and no need to ask if you can have a special,  your Photographer should have taken sufficient for you to be able to make you own selection from his proofs.
